Controlling Ticks
Ticks can be controlled in various ways, but if you kill the ticks on your pets, be sure to kill the pets in the environment of your pets as well. That includes killing any ticks that may have hidden anywhere indoors of your home in the yard, if you live in a nearby wooded area, remember that birds or other animals may carry ticks back into your yard. Regular maintenance can also prevent ticks from coming back in the future.
In your pets, ticks like to hid in your pet’s ear, between the toes, in the armpit area, under the tail, and various hidden areas of the sort.
When checking your home, remove anything such as newspapers, stored firewood, or any tight area where a tick might hide.
In your yard, a tick is likely to hid in grassy or wooded areas, so be sure to control any long amounts of grass and vegitation. Pay attention to kennels and doghouses, woodpiles, anywhere.
